Subaru (TYO:7270) has signed an additional off-site corporate PPA with TEPCO EP and FJTEC to boost renewable energy adoption at its Yajima Plant and Tokyo Office, according to its statement on June 4.

Starting February 2026, TEPCO EP will supply power from FJTEC's solar facilities, including a new 5.2 MW plant, supplementing existing renewable energy sources.

The Yajima Plant will receive approximately 5.7 GWh annually-covering 10% of its electricity needs-while the Tokyo Office gets 4.5 GWh or 14% of its consumption.

This expansion will nearly triple CO2 reductions, from 1,600 to 3,800 tons annually. The initiative builds on Subaru's October 2024 agreement to enhance sustainability across its operations.
