1009 ET - G-III Apparel is rushing to ship orders from China while the trade truce holds. The company behind fashion brands DKNY and Karl Lagerfeld says it is accelerating shipments of as many products as it can, ahead of when the Trump administration plans to review its 90-day pause for most tariffs on imports of Chinese goods. "As far as inventory levels, I'd say if we wind up with a deluge of inventory that we're able to receive in Q2, that looks like it's a negative, but it's an absolute positive. We've gotten out of the way and we own the inventory," CEO Morris Goldfarb says on a call with analysts. G-III ended the recent quarter with inventory down 5% from last year, noting it continues to tightly manage inventories and stay disciplined in its buying.(connor.hart@wsj.com)
