欧洲央行执委施纳贝尔称，对美联储与欧洲央行政策将长期分化的预期是错误的。
“我预计贸易战将对全球需求和供应都产生冲击 —— 我们可以讨论这两者对通胀的影响哪个更大，因为这将决定最终的净影响，”施纳贝尔周六表示。
“但无论如何我都预计，不会发生持续脱钩这种事，”她在第31届杜布罗夫尼克经济会议上表示。“市场定价也反映出了这一点。”
欧洲央行和美联储曾在2021年和2022年通胀加速时同步加息，并于2024年双双开始降息。然而，尽管前者已采取了八次行动（最近一次是在周四）、将利率从4%降至2%，但后者自2024年12月以来一直按兵不动，把联邦基金利率维持在4.25%-4.5%区间。
美联储官员定于6月17日-18日在华盛顿举行会议，外界普遍预计他们将维持基准利率不变。该央行的许多决策者表示，他们希望等待总统唐纳德· 特朗普的贸易、移民和税收政策对经济的影响变得更加清晰之后，再调整利率。
