BlockBeats News, June 6th, Peter Navarro, the trade advisor to the U.S. President, stated that President Trump's public feud with Musk is insignificant, calling Musk merely "a special government employee who will leave when his term is up."
Navarro said, "People come and go in the White House." Navarro implied that Musk's criticism of Trump's domestic policy agenda was unfounded and directly pushed back on external concerns about the plan. Navarro also criticized Musk's long-standing opposition to tariffs, which are at the core of Trump's trade policy.
"Musk doesn't like tariffs, that's all," he said, noting that Musk has been "clear" about this since Trump's first term. Navarro said, "We can disagree on this issue, but I just want to say that in my first term, everyone who said tariffs would lead to economic downturn and inflation was clearly mistaken." (Golden Ten)
