Vietnam-based tech company FPT has officially opened its Gunma Mobility DX Hub in Ota, Gunma prefecture, to support Subaru's digitization efforts, Nikkei Asia reported Thursday.
The Tokyo-based subsidiary, FPT Japan Holdings, opened the office in December as its 18th location in Japan. The office aims to accelerate digital innovation, including AI and semiconductor technologies, the report said.
Located near Subaru's main production facilities, the new hub will initially employ 20 to 30 people, with plans to expand to 300 staff in the coming years.
