Autobacs Seven (TYO:9832) booked a 9.1% increase in total store sales in May, with same-store sales up 7.7% year on year, according to a Friday filing with the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The average purchase price per customer rose 8.8% across all stores.

The company attributed the sales growth to heightened demand for tires ahead of an upcoming price hike, while services and maintenance also remained strong, supported by a rise in vehicles undergoing safety inspections.
