中华电力表示，本港已进入台风季节，为应对台风及恶劣天气对电力系统及服务带来的挑战，已制定及落实一系列抵御及应变措施，日前便联同机电工程署在西九龙进行恶劣天气紧急复电联合演练，从而提升工程人员应对由恶劣天气引致电力事故的应变和协调能力。
演练模拟黑色暴雨警告信号生效期间，有客户变电站怀疑因水浸影响电力供应。中电紧急服务组接报后迅速赶赴现场，安排水泵抽走站内积水，并调配流动发电机到场进行紧急复电。
除了进行联合演练外，鉴于中华电力的输电网络中有逾30%属架空天线，较容易受恶劣天气及环境等外来因素影响，因此中华电力已加强巡查户外供电设备，包括利用直升机和无人机等巡视输电塔和架空电缆，并安排修剪有机会对架空天线造成干扰的树木。另外，为减低因雷电引致的电压骤降，中华电力已于输电塔及电杆加装避雷器，提高电力系统抵御雷击的能力。(gc/da)
