Bowen Coking Coal to Transition Burton Mine to Owner-Operator Model Starting July

Bowen Coking Coal (ASX:BCB) will transition the Burton Mine Complex to an owner-operator model starting July 1, following the expiry of its existing contract with Buma Australia, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The transition reflects Bowen's commitment to enhancing internal capabilities, operational control, and performance consistency at Burton, while creating new opportunities for its workforce, partners, and local communities, the filing said.

The transition process is expected to proceed swiftly, the filing added.

The company's shares slipped 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
