eToro Has Tools to Stand Out in Competitive Retail-Investing Market -- Market Talk

0821 ET - Newly public online broker eToro can stand apart from other e-brokers, Deutsche Bank analyst Brian Bedell says. With about 95% of eToro's revenue coming from outside the U.S., Bedell says eToro has a big opportunity to cash in on the many international retail investors looking for ways to build wealth. The platform's social elements will also help attract users who prefer to invest and trade within a community, the analyst says. Bedell also says there is ample assistance to support good retail investing outcomes with eToro's focus on copying the trades of more experienced investors. But, the analyst also says he sees some risks to growth from rising competition and any changes in pace of adoption of its social investing platform globally, and in the future, in the US. He initiates eToro with a hold rating. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
