智通财经APP获悉，派拉蒙环球(PARA.US)周二宣布，将在美国实施3.5%的裁员计划，以应对严峻的宏观经济环境及美国线性电视观众规模萎缩的冲击。这一举措延续了该公司去年15%的裁员行动——其中标志性举措是关停运营11年的派拉蒙电视工作室，当时公司预计通过裁员和业务关停节省5亿美元成本。
此次裁员消息公布前一日，首席财务官纳文·乔普拉(Naveen Chopra)刚宣布离职，将转投Roblox(RBLX.US)担任同职。据测算，截至2024年底派拉蒙全球拥有18,600名员工，此次裁员预计波及超600人。
联合首席执行官乔治·奇克斯(George Cheeks)、克里斯·麦卡锡(Chris McCarthy)和布莱恩·罗宾斯(Brian Robbins)在致员工的备忘录中透露，裁员计划于周二启动，首先影响美国本土员工，“未来可能对海外员工也产生一定影响”。
备忘录称：“在行业性线性电视持续衰退、宏观经济环境多变的背景下，我们正优先投资增长中的流媒体业务，因此本周起将采取这些艰难但必要的措施，进一步精简组织架构。”
本月早些时候，迪士尼(DIS.US)已在全球裁员“数百人”，主要涉及迪士尼娱乐部门;华纳兄弟探索(WBD.US)则针对性地裁撤了线性电视业务不到100名员工。
