格隆汇6月10日｜美国国会预算办公室（CBO）预计，特朗普政府可能会在8月中旬至9月底之间耗尽用于履行其偿付义务的资金。无党派机构CBO对所谓X日的最新估计跟其3月份时的预测相比，推迟了至少两周。这可能会为国会提供更多时间，以便就提高联邦债务上限达成一致，这也是总统唐纳德·特朗普减税方案的一部分。

债务上限于今年年初重新生效，此后财政部一直在动用特殊会计手段，以免突破上限，同时仍能按时履行联邦偿付义务。共和党人在特朗普的“大漂亮法案”(One Big Beautiful Bill)中附加了一项措施，该措施将赋予财政部数万亿美元的额外借款权。该法案目前正在参议院进行审议。

“CBO目前估计，如果债务上限保持不变，政府利用非常措施借款的能力可能会在2025年8月中旬至9月底之间耗尽，”该机构在周一发布的月度预算报告中写道。
