花旗报告称，日本投资数据显示，4月份德国国债和美国国债遭抛售背后有多种原因，包括财政年度结束。他说，4月份德国国债遭抛售91亿欧元，创2015年以来最大规模，而美国国债的抛售额超过80亿美元。该行称，“这可能与（3月31日）财政年度结束、德国的财政担忧，或者仅仅是在日本长期国债收益率上升后的资金回流有关。”然而，该数据并未显示任何资金从美元资产配置转向欧元资产的迹象。报告表示，鉴于日本国债收益率高企，“前瞻来看，资金回流的压力可能会持续。”
