BlockBeats 消息，6 月 9 日，Tether CEO 发文宣布，将致力于开源其比特币挖矿操作系统（MOS）。这将使一大批新的比特币挖矿公司能够进入市场，并参与维护网络安全的竞争。不再需要任何第三方托管软件。MOS 将创造一个更加公平的竞争环境，缩小上市公司与中小型矿工之间的差距。
该挖矿操作系统具有极强的可扩展性、弹性和模块化特性，核心架构基于点对点物联网（IoT）。它可以从一个连接多个矿机的树莓派扩展到部署有多个冗余主机、监控数十万台矿机的大型矿场。MOS 已内置插件，可用于监控和交互的设备包括：
多种主流挖矿机型/厂商
各种矿机容器（风冷、液冷等）
大量电气设备、温控器等
任何开发者都可以为特定设备开发自定义插件，并（希望）将其贡献回主代码库。
