Vantage Risk adds James River's Gunson as chief claims officer

June 10 - (The Insurer) - Vantage Group Holdings has hired Jim Gunson, former chief claims officer at James River Insurance Group, as chief claims officer.

Gunson reports to Alex Blanco, CEO of insurance at Vantage.

The new recruit has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before James River, he held roles at CNA Insurance, Chubb North America and Carroll McNulty & Kull.

In the role, Gunson will leverage Vantage's core data, technology and analytics capabilities and prioritize cross-functional coordination to support brokers and clients.

In April, Vantage Risk announced that it had appointed Paul Livingstone as senior vice president of credit, mortgage and structured (re)insurance, which follows his joining the company in November.
