Australian regulator bans former advisor involved in A$14.8 million crypto scam from financial services industry for ten years

BlockBeats reports that on June 12, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) announced that former financial adviser Glenda Rogan has been banned from the financial services industry for ten years. An investigation revealed that during her tenure from March 2022 to June 2023, she diverted at least AUD 14.8 million in client funds to a cryptocurrency investment scam. During the period of misconduct, Rogan served as an accountant and financial adviser for a group of companies called Fincare, based in the Sutherland and Wollongong areas.
