消息面上，远大医药发布公告，集团用于治疗翼状胬肉的全球创新眼科药物CBT-001(GPN00153)开展的国际多中心III期临床试验，近日完成了全球中心全部患者入组。该研究是一项随机、双盲、安慰剂平行对照的III期临床试验，拟入组660例12周岁及以上的翼状胬肉伴结膜充血患者，旨在评估CBT-001滴眼液在减少结膜充血和预防翼状胬肉进展方面的安全性和有效性。此次，该产品临床研究全部患者入组是集团在五官科领域眼科方向的又一次重大里程碑进展。
CBT-001 由 Cloudbreak Pharma Inc.开发，是已上市治疗肺纤维化药物 OFEV 的主要成分尼达尼布的创新改良产品，对新生血管生成和组织纤维化均有抑制作用。此前已在美国完成II期临床试验，安全性高，具有临床疗效，可抑制翼状胬肉生长并控制病情进展。可用于翼状胬肉轻中重度各阶段，及手术后防止复发。
中国加入CBT-001的国际多中心III期临床试验后，已于2024年3月实现中国III期临床研究首例患者入组。集团拥有 CBT-001 在中国内地、中国香港特别行政区、中国澳门特别行政区、及中国台湾省的独家生产(含技术转移)及商业化权利，授权范围涵盖CBT-001的在研适应症，即预防翼状胬肉生长及减少结膜充血。
