Indonesia's Consumer Confidence Index came in at 117.5 in May, lower than 121.7 in the month prior but remaining in positive territory, according to a Thursday release from Bank Indonesia, citing its latest Consumer Survey.
The central bank attributed the sustained positive sentiment to a strong Current Economic Condition Index (CECI) and Consumer Expectation Index (CEI).
The CECI remained in optimistic territory at 106, down from 113.7 the month earlier, while CEI came in at 129, retreating from 129.8 a month earlier, but still in the positive territory.
