6月10日，微博官方发布公告称，经用户投诉和站方核实，微博账号“@韦东奕本人”被确认为假冒仿冒账号，该账号不仅侵犯了个人权益，还扰乱了网络传播秩序和公众认知。因违反社区公约相关规定，该账号已被关闭，其IP属地为广西。此前，曾有公司试图抢注“韦东奕”商标，涉及服装鞋帽、广告销售、教育娱乐等类别，但目前该商标申请已被驳回并处于无效状态。
