Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) will require head-office teams with "real estate capacity" to report back to the office at least four days a week, starting in September, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing an internal memo.

The move is aimed at boosting engagement and a culture of belonging among the employees, the report said.

"Spending more time together in the office enables more effective collaboration and problem-solving and ultimately provides more opportunities to develop one's career," the memo said, according to Bloomberg.

Bank of Nova Scotia didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
