HSBC (HKG:0005) repurchased 1,931,974 shares on June 6, according to a Monday Hong Kong bourse filing.
The lender repurchased 515,574 shares in the UK at a volume-weighted average price of 8.7616 pounds sterling apiece and 1,416,400 shares in Hong Kong for HK$92.8634 per share.
HSBC has so far repurchased 136,511,868 shares for nearly $1.59 billion since the current buyback program began May 6.
Following the cancellation of shares repurchased in the UK, the firm has 17,531,279,069 ordinary shares in issue.
