Chengdu Expressway (HKG:1785) wholly owned subsidiary Chengdu Chengwenqiong Expressway has signed five civil construction contracts worth 4.6 billion yuan for the Chengwenqiong Expressway Expansion Project, according to a June 13 Hong Kong bourse filing.
The contracts cover roadbed, bridges, culverts, and interchanges across a combined length of more than 47 kilometers. All five sections will be upgraded to a two-way, eight-lane expressway with a 100 km/h design speed.
Construction is expected to take 30 months, the filing said.
The company said the project will be funded through internal resources and bank borrowings, according to the filing.
