特朗普表示，他希望移民和海关执法局（ICE）、边境巡逻队和执法人员将重点放在“犯罪猖獗、危险重重的内城区，以及庇护城市发挥重要作用的地区”。特朗普指示“我的整个政府投入一切可能的资源来支持这项努力，扭转大规模毁灭性移民的潮流，这种移民已经将曾经田园诗般的城镇，变成了第三世界反乌托邦的乱象”。“对于ICE、FBI、DEA、ATF、五角大楼的爱国者以及国务院，我坚定不移地支持你们。”
