Heavy Rare Earths (ASX:HRE) confirmed a paleochannel-hosted uranium target at its Perenjori project in Western Australia through soil sampling, according to a June 13 filing with the Australian bourse.
The program involved collecting 231 soil samples and confirmed a clear target at Gingaba Well, with assays of up to 116 parts per million uranium, the filing said.
The company plans to test the surface uranium anomaly for a deeper deposit within the paleochannel by drilling shallow fences of holes, pending cultural heritage and government approvals, per the filing.
