IT之家 6 月 16 日消息，印度政府当地时间 6 月 9 日公告，将对专门为制造半导体或电子元件而设立的经济特区的最低连续土地面积要求从原本的 50 公顷下调至 10 公顷，允许建设更小的专门经济特区。

印度政府表示，此举是因为半导体与电子元件制造业是高度资本密集型的，依赖进口，并且在盈利之前需要更长的酝酿期。

修订后的印度经济特区规则同时允许将免费接收和供应的货物价值纳入净外汇计算、允许半导体和电子元件制造部门的经济特区单位在支付关税后向国内关税区供应。

根据新版的规则，印度的经济特区审批委员会批准美光在古吉拉特邦 Sanand设立占地 37.64 公顷、预计投资1300 亿卢比（IT之家注：现汇率约合 108.47 亿元人民币）的经济特区工厂，此外还有另一个投资规模 10 亿卢比的经济特区项目获批。
