Kernex Microsystems (India) Consortium Wins Over INR3 Billion Southern Railways Contract for Kavach System

Kernex Microsystems (India) (NSE:KERNEX) received a letter of acceptance from Southern Railways, Chennai, for two Kavach (Train Collision Avoidance System) projects awarded to the KERNEX-VRRC Consortium, according to a Friday filing on the Indian bourses.

The total order value is 3.11 billion Indian rupees, the filing said.

The first project involves installing Kavach across various sections of the Chennai Division for 1.73 billion Indian rupees, including goods and services tax (GST). The second project covers another route in the same division and includes Kavach, tower infrastructure, and 48-fiber OFC backbone for 1.38 billion rupees, including GST.
