Jacobs Solutions Inc. has successfully overseen the on-time completion of a major milestone in the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority's $(MTA)$ Rockaway Line Resiliency and Rehabilitation Project. Subway service on the A train to Far Rockaway has resumed after a four-month suspension, marking significant progress in improving the infrastructure's reliability and resilience. The project involved replacing crucial swing bridge components, rebuilding the Hammels Wye line structure, and adding flood resiliency measures to protect against future storm damage. Jacobs, serving as the project management consultant, collaborated closely with the MTA and its partners to navigate tight deadlines and challenging site conditions. The timely completion ensures reliable transit service to Rockaway Beach ahead of the summer tourism season. Further work will continue on enhancing flood resilience and upgrading service management capabilities.
