Gogo Inc. has announced a significant milestone in its scientific research efforts with the successful completion of the first 5G end-to-end call using its next-generation air-to-ground connectivity technology. This achievement, already presented by the company, marks a critical step in delivering 5G connectivity to North American operators. The call, which took place on June 16, 2025, confirms that the Gogo 5G chip is fully functional and ready for the final phases of integration. Gogo has also made substantial progress in its 5G infrastructure, including FAA approval for the AVANCE LX5 Line Replaceable Unit and the installation of a network of 170 5G towers. The company is on track to provide enhanced business aviation connectivity by the end of the year.
