路透6月20日 - 澳大利亚监管机构周五表示，已向联邦法院提起诉讼，起诉澳大利亚新闻集团旗下的新闻生活媒体公司（News Life Media）和其他公司涉嫌非法宣传药用大麻。
这些公司包括自然疗法提供商 AG Therapeutics、媒体 Mamamia.com.au 和公关公司 Straight Up PR。
新闻集团NWSA.O旗下的澳大利亚新闻集团没有立即回应路透的评论请求。
TGA表示，News Life Media和Mamamia发表的文章涉嫌出现违禁陈述、推荐以及医疗保健专业人士和亲属等个人的背书，违反了广告法规。
监管机构还指控 AG Therapeutics 使用 "植物药 "等委婉语，并在其网站和社交媒体上宣传药用大麻可治疗严重疾病。
根据澳大利亚 1989 年《治疗商品法》，包括药用大麻在内的处方药未经 TGA 事先批准或许可，不得直接向公众进行宣传。
