BlockBeats 消息，6 月 20 日，据《金融时报》报道，英国广播公司（BBC）首次针对科技公司涉嫌侵犯版权的行为采取行动，威胁对人工智能搜索引擎初创公司 Perplexity 提起法律诉讼，BBC 表示有证据证明 Perplexity 的“默认 AI 模型”使用了其内容进行训练。BBC 表示除非 Perplexity 停止抓取内容并提出“经济赔偿方案”以弥补知识产权侵权，否则可能寻求法院禁制令。
Perplexity 回应称，BBC 的指控是“操纵性和投机取巧的”，并表示其对技术、互联网和知识产权法的理解存在“根本性误解”。“这些指控还显示出 BBC 为了维护谷歌的非法垄断地位，不惜一切代价为自身利益服务。”Perplexity 并不构建或训练基础模型，而是提供一个界面，让用户可以在 OpenAI、谷歌和 Anthropic 等公司开发的其他模型之间进行选择。据知情人士透露，Perplexity 的内部模型基于 Meta 的 Llama 构建，并经过优化以提高准确性并减少模型生成虚假信息的情况。
