Flutter Entertainment Looks Well-Placed to Face Regulatory Challenges -- Market Talk
Dow Jones
Jun 20
1141 GMT - Flutter Entertainment is well-positioned to face the competitive challenge from prediction markets, Peel Hunt analysts Ivor Jones and Douglas Jack write in a note. Prediction markets are a gambling product and will be regulated as such, they say. The U.S. federal regulation for these markets represents both an opportunity and a threat for the parent company of FanDuel and other gaming and gambling brands, they add. However, "Flutter has the resources to compete effectively as market regulation becomes clear," they say. Shares closed at $272.47 on Thursday. (najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
