U.S. stock and bond markets reopen Friday after the Juneteenth holiday. Here is what else to watch:

-- Earnings: Supermarket chain Kroger, consultancy firm Accenture, CarMax and Darden Restaurants before the bell.

-- Economic data: Philadelphia Federal Reserve manufacturing survey at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by leading economic indicators.

-- Overseas: Meeting of the European Union's Economic and Financial Affairs Council.
