国泰航空(00293.HK) 旗下香港快运首席执行官毛洁琼表示，今年以来香港市场短途航班运力录得双位数增长，反映去年11月香港三跑道启用，时刻资源增加，但亦令廉航市场竞争加剧。她提到，今年以来载客量按年上升逾35%，预计全年增长30%至40%，期望可以超越去年的600万人载客量，公司会透过开拓特色航点，吸引大湾区及海外旅客，同时提供具性价比的机票价格，增强竞争力。
另政府自今年10月1日起，将离境税由120元提升至200元，但豁免乘搭飞机及其他方式抵港并于48小时内经飞机离境者。毛洁琼表示，欢迎相关豁免安排，相信有助吸引大湾区旅客及转机客，吸引旅客在港消费及观光。
