智通财经APP获悉，微软(MSFT.US)计划裁减数千个工作岗位，尤其是销售岗位，这是该公司为削减员工数量而采取的最新举措，此举是由于其在人工智能领域投入巨大所致。据知情人士透露，裁员计划预计将于下月初公布，届时微软的财政年度也将结束。这些裁员不只会影响销售团队，而且具体时间仍有可能变动。
此次裁员将紧随此前在 5 月份进行的一轮裁员行动之后，那次裁员涉及 6000 人，受影响最大的是产品和工程岗位，而面向客户的服务岗位(如销售和营销)则相对较少受到影响。4 月份，该公司告知员工，其计划借助第三方公司来拓展对中小客户的软件销售业务。
微软表示，其会定期对组织架构进行重新评估，以确保其在进行投资时着眼于实现增长。由于该公司在服务器和数据中心方面投入了数百亿美元，高管们向华尔街作出承诺，并向员工发出警告，称他们将控制其他方面的开支。
截至 2024 年 6 月底，该公司共有 22.8万名员工，其中 4.5万 人从事销售和市场营销工作。微软通常会在其财政年度结束(即 6 月底)临近时对团队进行重组，并宣布其他变动。
