智通财经APP获悉，国际货币基金组织(IMF)总裁克里斯塔利娜·格奥尔基耶娃看到了加强欧元更广泛作用的机会。她周四表示：“欧元面临着在全球范围内发挥更大作用的绝佳机会。当你考虑寻找优质安全资产时，在这一点上，它面临着提供这种资产的限制。”
她的言论与欧洲央行行长克里斯蒂娜·拉加德等政策制定者的言论不谋而合，后者呼吁欧洲抓住时机，将美国总统唐纳德·特朗普对全球贸易和美国机构的攻击转化为自身优势。
格奥尔基耶娃承认，欧元的潜在投资者仍然受到监管分散、缺乏“深度资本市场”、内部市场不完善以及能源昂贵的制约，但她补充说，“这些都是欧洲可以消除的障碍”。
