Alphabet旗下自动驾驶汽车部门Waymo已申请在纽约市测试其自动驾驶的士的许可证。Waymo表示，公司已向纽约市交通局申请许可，允许其车辆在曼哈顿进行自动驾驶营运，并由一名训练有素的人类专家进行驾驶监督。Waymo目前在洛杉矶、奥斯汀、凤凰城旧金山以及该地区其他地区提供完全自动驾驶的付费乘车服务。
