消息面上，美国副总统万斯称，特朗普可能会采取行动阻止伊朗核计划。华泰期货指出，美线供需双增，美东美西运价高位回落，或已见顶；6月份欧洲航线运力压力有所下行。该行指出，以色列和伊朗之间的冲突将持续或将影响霍尔木兹海峡的通行，霍尔木兹海峡的通行与否对油运影响较大，对集装箱运输的直接影响相对较小。
摩根士丹利本月初发布研报称，东方海外国际未来60天股价将下跌，料该情景发生的概率约为70%至80%，该行维持对其“减持”评级及目标价100港元。该行指，东方海外近期股价上涨后，使得短期估值吸引力大幅下降，该行认为集装箱运输市场的乐观情绪可能在基本面达到顶峰前先行回落。由于短期供需失衡导致的现货价格上涨，可能在未来2至4周内开始消退。
