La-Z-Boy Continues to Grow Company-Owned Stores -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
18 Jun

1856 ET [Dow Jones]--La-Z-Boy continues to grow its network of company-owned stores, adding six last quarter for a total of 203, or 55% of its total network. The additions drove 3% higher sales in the quarter, despite continued traffic weakness across the furniture industry, which weighed on same-store sales, the company said. Over the last fiscal year, the furniture maker has opened 11 new stores, marking one of its largest annual expansions, and acquired seven independent La-Z-Boy furniture galleries.
