JD.com (HKG:9618) Founder Richard Liu said he will expedite his e-commerce platform's overseas growth to bounce back from the setback caused by a government crackdown in 2020, Chinese online news platform Sina.com reported.
The company "lost five years... without innovation, growth, and progress," the report quoted Liu as saying during a press conference marking the 618 shopping festival.
JD.com also plans to launch new projects yearly, one after the other, including stablecoins, the report said, citing Liu.
The platform plans to launch in Europe in 2026, Bloomberg News reported separately.
