汇丰策略师预计英镑到年底前将升至1.37美元，因为尽管英国方面的因素并没有突然改善，但最近的政策决定使得美国看起来是一个风险更大的赌注。

　　“全球外汇格局正在发生变化。美元的主导地位面临压力，” Paul Mackel等策略师在一份报告中写道：“通常情况下，以利差为代表的预期回报会推动资本流动。然而，美国政策信誉受损已导致英镑/美元偏离利差所隐含的水平”。

　　他们认为，近期英镑走强完全是由于美元的负面驱动因素，并预计英镑将进一步上涨，推动因素要么是对美元的担忧加剧，要么是市场对英国政治和经济政策的看法更加乐观。

　　他们指出：“好消息是，英国政局对英镑的影响比近几年动荡时期要小。坏消息是， 英镑仍然对财政事件敏感”。

　　此前预测英镑/美元到2025年底前达到1.32。
