Macquarie Asset Management has announced its agreement to acquire ownership stakes in three UK airports: Bristol, Birmingham, and London City. The acquisition, conducted through Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund 7 on behalf of long-term institutional investors, involves purchasing stakes from the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Macquarie will acquire a 55% stake in Bristol Airport, a 26.5% stake in Birmingham Airport, and ownership in London City Airport. Macquarie, a long-standing investor in UK infrastructure, continues to expand its portfolio in the region, building on its history of substantial investment in European infrastructure.
