St Barbara (ASX:SBM) said Papua New Guinea's Mining Advisory Council will consider the company's application for early renewal of the Simberi mining lease at its June meeting, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.
A recommendation to the Mining Minister for the renewal is expected after the meeting, the filing said.
The company also proposed a revised royalty structure for the project under a new agreement, the filing added.
Shares of the company fell past 11% in recent Tuesday trade.
