1110 ET - Casual-dining had a challenging 2024 with a number of high-profile bankruptcies, but legacy brands are gaining some steam this year by emphasizing their value compared to fast-food. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store CEO Julie Felss Masino said at the WSJ Global Food Forum that it's a great time to be in casual-dining, and her chain is winning back customers with menu and store upgrades. Felss Masino said the chain is broadening their offerings, including adding beer and wine, without losing its identity. "We are not becoming a bar and grill," she said.
