Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (A&B) has announced a significant update regarding its contractual obligations with Mahi Pono Holdings, LLC. On June 17, 2025, A&B entered into a Termination Agreement with Mahi Pono to conclude the remaining rights and obligations under their previous Purchase and Sale Agreement from December 2018. As part of this new agreement, A&B will transfer its 50% ownership interest in East Maui Irrigation Company, LLC and forego a $2.7 million payment. Additionally, A&B has agreed to pay $55.3 million to Mahi Pono in a series of installments over four years, starting with an initial $10.0 million payment upon signing the agreement. This development marks a significant step in resolving outstanding financial commitments between the two entities.
