Soluna Holdings Inc., a developer of green data centers, has announced an expansion of its partnership with Compass Mining. The renewed agreement includes a contract extension at Soluna's Project Dorothy 1 site and a significant expansion into the adjacent Project Dorothy 2 site. This expansion brings a total of approximately 13 megawatts (MW) of computing capacity across both locations. The collaboration, which began with Project Dorothy 1 in 2023, allows Compass Mining to staff and operate the new capacity. Project Dorothy is strategically located in West Texas to utilize excess wind energy. The expansion into Project Dorothy 2 marks Soluna's commitment to sustainable growth and enhanced computing capabilities.
