Boeing's (BA) role in the January 2024 mid-air blowout of a 737 Max 9 panel cabin will be discussed at a US National Transportation Safety Board hearing on Tuesday, Reuters reported.

The US air safety regulator is expected to harshly criticize Boeing's safety culture and failure to install four bolts in a new Alaska Airlines (ALK) Max 9 that experienced the incident, Reuters cited officials as saying.

Boeing and the NTSB did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
