Commonwealth Bank of Australia (ASX:CBA) launched a new Home Energy Upgrades service in the bank's app, which will allow customers to conduct a personalized home energy assessment, access discounted financing for the upgrades, and manage the installation process, according to a Monday statement.
The bank's customers will also be able to get quotes from accredited local solar and battery installers, as well as explore government rebates through the app.
The service includes a digital marketplace co-developed with energy solutions firm Brighte to address upfront cost and complexity for energy upgrades.
The marketplace includes discounted finance offerings, supported by Clean Energy Finance's Household Energy Upgrades Fund. The bank's home loan customers can avail of a discounted unsecured fixed-rate personal loan at 3.99% per annum.
Eligible customers of the bank can also receive up to AU$1,500 in cash back.
The firm's shares inched up almost 1% in recent trading on Monday.
