　　6月21日，华中科技大学官网公布：华中科技大学获捐一笔1.8亿元人民币的个人匿名善款。极目新闻记者了解到，2024年10月，海尔集团老总周云杰曾向华科捐赠两千万元，助力学校人才发展、科技创新与技术攻关。

　　2024年10月11日，华中科技大学“海尔科技发展专项基金”捐赠仪式在青岛海尔卡奥斯工业互联网创新应用体验中心举行。海尔集团党委书记、董事局主席、首席执行官，华中科技大学材料学院1984级校友周云杰代表海尔集团向华中科技大学捐赠两千万元，助力学校人才发展、科技创新与技术攻关。

　　周云杰对母校近年来获得的优异成绩表示祝贺，表达了身为校友的骄傲之情。他表示，华科大高效、务实的学风校风，为全社会特别是海尔集团，培养、输送了大批优秀人才，在各个领域为公司的发展作出了突出贡献。结合海尔集团发展规划与华科大学科发展实际、科研优势资源，周云杰提出了校企协同创新的规划和愿景，希望加强企业科创真实需求和学校科技优势资源的深度对接，推动成果高效转化，更好地服务技术突破与产业创新；期待双方继续探索更优质的联系合作机制，促进科研与产业整体升级，实现共赢。
