This week's NATO summit isn't about the U.S. strikes on Iran, but Iran will be a topic because of its drone supplies to Russia, said alliance Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
NATO leaders meet in The Hague on Tuesday to approve big spending increases. Iran is outside NATO's purview, but "no doubt it will emerge in the discussions" Rutte told a pre-summit press conference. "Let's not forget, Iran is heavily involved in the fight of Russia against Ukraine" with its drone supplies, "which are killing innocent Ukrainians every day," he said.
"So there is also a close connection between Iran... and Russia when it comes to the war in Ukraine," Rutte said.
