Omnicom (OMC) announced on Monday that the US Federal Trade Commission has completed its antitrust review of its proposed acquisition of Interpublic (IPG) and approved a consent order agreed upon by both companies.
The FTC granted early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period on June 23, and the order is now subject to a 30-day public comment period before final acceptance, the company said.
The clearance is planned to be followed by closing of the deal in H2, as the companies pursue remaining regulatory approvals, Omnicom said.
