Continental's Midterm Targets are Little to Get Excited About -- Market Talk

1238 GMT - Continental's midterm targets offer little to get excited about, Bernstein analysts say in a research note. The German car-parts company gave a midterm target of 19.5 billion to 22 billion euros in revenue, in line with Bernstein's expectations. The company also gave a margin target of 12% to 14.5%, below what the analysts expected, they say. ContiTech's margin guidance of 13% to 16% is in line with figures given in 2023. "We think they might be able to increase this guide, given premiumisation and a new incentivized management team post spinoff," the analysts say. The margin guidance did, however, come in above where Bernstein had expected it, the analysts say. Shares trade 0.2% lower at 73.92 euros. (nina.kienle@wsj.com)
